The most common pain associated with endometriosis is cyclical and often before a menstrual cycle. In advanced cases, says Kevin Windom, MD, a gynecologist and Sharecare Advisory Board Member, patients may feel pain during intercourse.
[MUSIC] The most common pain people have in endometriosis is a cyclical type of pain, they ave severe pain right before their menstrual cycle, and often times with the menstrual cycle, they feel so much better. Often times patients also have pains with intercourse, they have pains sometimes doing normal physical activity.
That's usually seen as the more advanced stages of endometriosis. When they have a significant amount of scar tissue, off in times patients of endometriosis have no pain at all.
