High fiber foods are great for your health and they're also great for weight loss. It's good for your health because fiber acts like a scrub brush, it just pushes everything through your body so it keeps your colon nice and clean, and nothing is rotting away in there, but it is also really good for weight loss because it fills your stomach, and it helps the food leave slowly out of your belly so you're not as hungry afterwards.

It adds bulk to food so that your glucose is delivered into your system slowly and with stability throughout the day. Another reason fiber is so great is that it helps to lower cholesterol, it can help you lower blood pressure, it helps women who have hot flashes get over that.

So fiber is one of those things that's just wonderful all around.
