Does All Natural Mean Organic?

One of the most common questions I get is, does all natural mean organic? And while it's tempting to think that and it's tempting to look at those beautiful photos or those really great sounding descriptions on there, the devil's the details and USDA certified organic is the gold standard when it comes to ensuring that that food has been produced according to the highest standards without any additives, preservatives, nothing artificial, no hormones, pesticides, antibiotics.

Natural basically means nothing. For the majority of the supermarket, if you to see the word natural, it's a feel good term, that's what dietitians call it. It doesn't have teeth behind it, so organic is much more rigorous in terms of what can and cannot be in that food, how that animal was treated and how that food was produced.
