Transcript
Reparative therapy" is a very particular kind of counseling which has a specific goal, which is to change homosexuality
into heterosexuality. And it's based on the notion that homosexuality is a disease, that it's an illness, that it's
a pathology which does not need to be in existence, which is not normal and natural.
So the fundamental assumptions in reparative therapy are not accepted by any medical or psychological association
in the United States. Even the World Health Organization, you know, has argued against the fundamental tenets of this, quote, "therapy."
