Anticipatory anxiety is the anxiety
we feel before we ever enter into a situation. Anticipatory anxiety can be positive and negative. So let's say we're going on the vacation of a lifetime,
we might be super anxious about it and really want to make sure it's perfect and everything is going right. That's one kind of anxiety. Or we know we have to have that meeting with our boss
next week. And we are worst-case-scenario-ing it in our head over and over and over again. So the anticipation of what's coming next fuels
the anxiety we feel. So again, pulling back and being in the moment helps us decrease it.
