Exercise does much more than make a person look good, and nowhere is that clearer than when it comes to fibromyalgia. In this video, family medicine specialist Dr. Jennifer Caudle explains the benefits of physical activity for fibromyalgia pain.
Exercise is a great modality to help treat fibromyalgia, and in fact one thing that we know is that patients tend to do better when they try many different treatment options. Some of these treatment options include exercise, exercise which ranges from aerobic exercise, to aqua or water therapy, those are some really great options.
Studies have shown that tai chi and yoga can be very helpful as well, and we also know that there are other therapies that include cognitive behavioral therapy, even acupuncture and osteopathic manipulative treatment. So in short, yes exercise can be very very helpful and there is a wide range of exercises that can be done.
