Several factors can increase a woman's risk of infertility, including exposure to BPA; recent studies show those with higher levels of BPA have more infertility issues. Watch hormone specialist Jen Landa, MD, discuss this risk factor for infertility.
There are lots of things that increase the risk for infertility for women, and BPA is one of them, and it's one you don't even need to put yourself at that risk, but a recent study showed that women with higher BPA levels who were going through infertility treatment, were not able to make as many eggs, and then when they did make eggs and get embryos, the embryos didn't tick as well in their uterus, so they have less babies.
The women with high BPA levels have way fewer pregnancies than the women who didn't have BPA.
