Diabetes is when the body has too much sugar and cannot control the sugar in the body, insulin is not appropriately secreted. So what happens sugar in the body really affects the heart, the whole circulatory system in a bad way, with that said if you have too much sugar in the body, the body is trying to get rid of the sugar.
How does the body get rid of the sugar by just flashing it out, flashing it out by having the kidneys make much more urine, if you make much more urine you can become dehydrated which leads to whole another set of problems that you could have.
