Getting enough sleep is critical for maintaining testosterone levels, which also impacts a man's erection and ability to have sex. In this video, urologist Harry Fisch, MD, explains why it's important for men to get 8-10 hours of sleep per night.
Men that realize that sleep is critical for testosterone levels, in fact most men need, when they are ready for this, eight to ten hours of sleep a night. And I'm serious. So literally the more sleep you get the better. Why is sleep important? Well, testosterone is made when you sleep.
So, if you're only sleeping three hours a night, you are not making a lot testosterone. And I can tell you from my practice what I see, is men just on sleep enough, they have very low testosterone levels. Particularly be careful if you snore and have sleep apnea, get that evaluated because that's the easiest way to increase your testosterone levels.
So it turns out, if you are not sleeping well, your testosterone levels will be low and your ability to have sex will be a way down.
