Watch as obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Evelyn Minaya discusses the differences between overactvie bladder and urinary incontinence.
Overactive bladder is not the same as urinary incontinence and as a matter of fact, urinary incontinence there are several different ones, believe it or not. There's overflowing incontinence and then there is genuine stress incontinence what basically that means is that there is leakage when you exercise or when you cough or when sneeze.
Overactive bladder means that when the bladder is distended it kind of has spasms so you feel like you have to go to the bathroom all the time, and even when it's empty you still have those spasms that makes you go to the bathroom quite frequently.
