One of the first things you can do is watch your sugar consumption. There's many studies showing that sugar, high levels of sugar in the body and high levels of insulin that occur when we're consuming a lot of sugar actually feed cancer and can increase our risk of getting breast cancer.

So, watch any added sugar in your diet or any refined carbohydrates because that can increase somebody risks. The second thing you want to do is to focus on getting a good night sleep. Sleep is really important for your immune system. And also if we don't get enough sleep, it increases our risk of having high blood sugar and high insulin like we were just talking about.

So, reach for those 7-9 hours of sleep every night. Getting your fruits and vegetables, 8-10, one and 1/2 cups serving for fruits and vegetables are key those vital nutrients have a lot of benefits in our bodies but actually can help prevent cancer especially vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and kale, they have this vital nutrients that are actually is anti-carcinogenic.

They are wonderful. For women you have to watch the amount of alcohol you're taking in because as our alcohol intake goes up so does the risk of blood cancer. So, keep it to five or less drinks a week, and make sure we manage our stress, getting in some good stress management every day like breathing, good deep breathing techniques, taking a yoga class, doing some exercise all of that helps with prevention of breast cancer.
