To limit the consumption of artificial sweeteners, know the names of these products and read labels, then start to reduce the amount you consume over time. Watch as functional medicine expert Elizabeth Boham, MD, explains how you can cut down.
You wanna start looking at labels. If you're finding something that has aspartame in it or sucralose or mannitol or xylitol, you want to start limiting these products, cuz we know they're not helping you lose weight and they may also be hurting you, and hurting your health. So, start to cut down slowly if you're consuming a lot of them.
Cut your consumption in half each week and then the next week cut it in half again. Your taste will slowly change and you'll be able to get yourself off of the artificial sweeteners.
