How Can Food Be Like Medicine?

Hippocrates, the father of medicine said, let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food. Many of the leading killers in the United States, these chronic diseases that are laying to waste tens of thousands of Americans every year, are not just preventable with a healthy diet.

More than half are treatable with a healthy diet, and some you can even reverse the progression of disease, turn disease around, for example open up arteries without drugs, without surgery just eating this healthy kind of plant-based diet. You can reverse diabetes, you can reverse obesity, you can reverse hypertension.

So instead of being on drugs for the rest of your life, you can avoid those drugs by just eating healthy. There is a powerful tool that many physicians are not taking full advantage of. The healthiest food that we can possibly eat, dark green leafy vegetables. We should all strive to find healthy, convenient, exciting yummy ways to eat dark green leafy vegetables, to try to get greens into our daily diets as much as possible.

The healthiest fruits are berries, the healthiest vegetables are greens, we should eat both every day.
