Well, like with any procedure there is always respect, all acupuncture out there are very well trained now days, there is the training to cleaning those technique, they clean the air properly, everything they use is disposable, acupuncture needles in general are surgical tools or class two medical devices actually and they are very sterile, they're completely sterile and they are made very well.
So generally you won't have any chance of infection in fact I have never heard of an instance of infection myself.
