How Does Coconut Oil Work to Improve Health?

The incredible trick that I love to use when it comes to curbing cravings is coconut oil and water. Now what we like to do is we take two teaspoons of coconut oil and you mix it into a cup of warm water and you drink it 20-30 minutes before, what we call the red zone meal. A typical meal where you've a tendency to overeat.

What happens is those fats go into the stomach which is called the vagus nerve which closes up the pyloric valve, which connects the stomach and the small intestine, when that valve closes the stomach then fills up with water and makes you feel full. What happens also the fat that gets through that pyloric valve they release something called CCK which is a signal that goes to the brain and tells your brain that it's full.

Here's the kicker though, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes for that fat to resend that CCK signal to the brain, so you want to drink about 20 to 30 minutes before the meal sure enough and you get this extremely full feeling you might eat half of what's on your dinner plate, which is a fantastic tool of they actually get to you to eat fewer calories but the beauty of it is that it doesn't necessary have to be coconut oil it can be any kind of fat whether it's an handful of nuts or stick of string cheese or may be even some avocado.

So any good clean healthy fats they're going to do the same tricks but of course the coconut oil and water, it works like a charm.
