Endothelial cell dysfunction refers to a problem with the cells that line the interior of blood vessels. The layer of cells on the inside of our blood vessels is referred to as the endothelium. Those cells can become inflamed, they can break off, they can expose the more delicate and sensitive versal wall, maybe even leading to perforation, and so endothelial cell dysfunction is a significant cardiovascular health problem that can lead to further complications including heart attack and stroke.
