What Are the Health Benefits of Rosemary?

Read Transcript

Here is something I bet you didn't know a little trivia. The Ancient Greeks used to use a rosemary crown to improve memory. We've seen this in the history books but we didn't know that's what they were trying to accomplish. The health virtues are many when it comes to this beautiful herb, it smells wonderful as well.

It's a great culinary herb, but here's what else Rosemary will do for you. It can be used for thinning hair, and you know it's actually in epidermic proportions in North America for many reasons. Following the obesity epidemic there's something called polycystic ovarian syndrome in women and that causing male pattern baldness and if that's happening for you, using olive oil, three sprigs of rosemary, blending that up and using a little brush to apply small amounts of this oil on your scalp, may actually help invigorate blood flow to your hair follicles thereby helping to prevent and to improve on thinning hair.
