What Are the Symptoms of Bronchitis?

Bronchitis refers to an infection of the air ways. The symptoms of bronchitis are typically a cough, it may or may not be productive of sputum. Sputum is the mucus that the the air ways produce. The other symptoms of bronchitis can be wheezing. Wheezing is the audible noise you hear when you breath that's caused by restriction on the air ways.

In addition, patients with bronchitis may have symptoms of fever, shortness of breath or chest tightness.
