When Do Certain Behaviors or Habits Become an Addiction?

Any behavior or habit can become an addiction when we use it to feel better, to somehow compensate for something missing, if we don't feel nourished or something good about ourselves, we can over work, over eat, look for addictive sex, sex is [xx] because it's got a big charge on it, and he brain goes wooo, all of those things whether it's shopping, spending, gambling, all of those addictions lead us to temporarily forget the pain, because in some way we are getting high, yes even shopping can make you feel high, you know what I'm talking about.

And remember this, an addiction, this is my working definition and an addiction is something that just takes over your life, you spend all of your time, your energy, maybe even all of your money focused on that.
