They're completely different procedures. [MUSIC PLAYING]
Liposuction is an invasive procedure in which a cannula is inserted underneath the skin to suck out unwanted fat.
LipoSonix is a completely non-invasive procedure in which a handpiece is held on top of the skin
and the energy is delivered in one minute segments across the abdomen over multiple passes.
The treatment takes under an hour. You can go back to all your normal activities right afterwards, and you don't have to wear garments.
Liposuction is generally done in the office or in an OR after anesthesia is applied.
After liposuction, we generally have to wear garments and patients have to abstain from multiple different activities
until the spots have healed. So LipoSonix and liposuction are completely different.
LipoSonix is non-invasive ultrasound energy to reduce fat around the abdomen and flanks.
Liposuction is an invasive procedure that's done in the doctor's office or the OR to remove fat underneath the skin via insertion
