Watch as board certified dermatologist Dr. Anne Chapas provides tips for how you can protect your skin from the aging process.
The number one thing that ages our skin is ultraviolet exposure from the sun. In order to protect your skin from the aging process, you really need to protect your skin from sun damage. The American Academy of Dermotology recommends that everyone wears a sunscreen containing an SPF of 30 or higher.
You want to look for one that protects against ultraviolet A rays or UVA rays which cause aging, and ultraviolet B rays or UVB rays which cause sun burns. It's important that you put it on every single day, recent studies have show that it actually prevents aging as well as reduces your risk of developing melanoma by half.
So protect your skin from the sun and you'll look better and you will be healthier also.
