If, on the other hand, you're finding that your bleed is very, very heavy. This is an example of when estrogen is too high. Now if progesterone causes the lining to shed, estrogen causes the lining to build. So all throughout the month estrogen is stimulating the underneath endometrium, the lining inside the uterus to cause it to thicken in case there is an egg that wants to be fertilized.

But in the case, that it's not and its time for your period to start, it's going to leave the body. And what happens here is when it's being built up in extreme by too much level of estrogen then we can have heavy dark and even cloudy menstrual blood that's coming out month over month.

When estrogen levels are high, and you're seeing this cloudy kind of heavy bleed, it's also something that you want to check out with your doctor, because it could be a sign of endometriosis or fibroids, or other types of cysts. So, it's important to get that checked out, as well as low progesterone which can, that oxidized blood can actually become something thats compromised, the cells can become cancer, so you really wanna be checking with your doctor, if you've noticed that this is a pattern for more than two or three months.
