How to Create a To-Do List That Really Works

Hi, I'm Dr. Oz, what's the most important thing you'd like to get done this month or this week or even today? Being on top of a busy schedule is challenging for everybody and if you have a condition like ADHD, it's harder. Using a to do list or a daily planner is a great start. However, these tools work more effectively if you learn to prioritize the tasks you put in them.

Here's a trick to help you do just that. Create a master to do list of both your immediate and your long term goals, along with the steps needed to accomplish each item. Then re-write the to do list, putting the most urgent or important goals in steps at the top of that list. This will help you prioritize your weekly and monthly schedule, so that critical things get done in a timely manner, and be sure to cross each item off the list when it's finished.

It's going to make you feel good to look back and see how much you've accomplished. I'm Dr. Oz. For more ways to manage your life and reduce stress, check out all of our Smart Tips.
