Smoking and nicotine is very interesting because it has been shown to increase dopamine levels in the brain while decreasing serotonin levels in the brain. Dopamine is released when you eat things like high fat, but it's also released when you eat lean protein. You can eat food that are going to increase the serotonin such as healthy carbs, whole grains, also things like a hot cup of tea or water with lemon, when you do this and you're blowing on this tea and making this renew ritual that will increase seratonin levels in your brain.
