Aerobic exercise which many people know as cardio is probably the best for lowering, not only cholesterol, but also blood pressure. So that's the exercise of continuous activity, a rhythmic motion using the major muscle groups, either your legs, arms or combination of the two. In other words, breaking out in a sweat and getting your heart rate up.

So whether that's rapid walking, riding a bicycle, using an exercise equipment, all those activities are heart healthy and cardiovascular.
