Ideally blood pressure would be under 120 and that's the top number or systolic 80 the bottom number of diastolic. We have defined a category called pre-hypertension. Which is between the 120 and 139 and the bottom number between 80 and 90, but that is a little bit confusing to patients, and it's best to speak with your health care provider to get a good goal for your blood pressure.
