Are Cure Rates for Cancer Improving?

The incidence of some kinds of cancers is dropping as we convince people to stop this evil smoking habit, and so there are fewer patients dying of lung cancer now because people are not developing lung cancer, but our ability to cure patients once they develop the metastatic disease has really not changed at all in terms of cure rates.

Survival can be improved, but the patients ultimately die of that cancer unless we find a better way to treat it.
