Brain imaging and mapping has taught us the increasing complexity of the brain. In this video, HealthMaker Stephen Sergay, MD, clinical neurologist, talks about the interconnectedness of the brain.
And all of that has shown the increasing complexity of the brain we had always said that this one area does that and therefore the problem in this area would be expected to cause those consequences, but now the interconnectedness of the brain is becoming more and more evident chemically and also structurally in the repair of the brain, is that going to be possible, and if so, how would we achieve that in this complex system as this.
So the understanding of the anatomy is usually the first step in anything, and this anatomy is paved with the chemistry and I understand in both of those will I think be a giant leap forward for neuro science research.
Previously Stephen Sergay, MD, was a neurologist at the Lahey Clinic Foundation and was an instructor in neurology at Harvard Medical School. He completed medical school in Africa and his neurology residency at Harvard Longwood.
