Well, I suppose it's not having access to the data the problem is what we do with it and how we use it. I think there're certainly real issues around confidentiality and security of data and personal health information that have to be addressed, but I'm a data person, I always tell my students that the plural of the word anecdote is anecdotes not data.

I like evidence to drive my decisions and that's true whether I'm a patient or a provider so I think it's how we use those data that are most important.
