Are We Teaching a Holistic Approach in Medical Schools Today?

A little bit. I see it. We have a small medical school at Mel, with about 50 students in it and I see it having taught a lot there. And I think in the bigger medical schools it's also coming to play because people recognize the need for that in good patient care, and also the fact that we see medical students fleeing primary care, because it's frighteningly difficult to take care of 2000 patients, many of whom are on 10 medications and have five medical conditions and to think that I can manage that, in a 10-minute visit.

That's crazy.
