Social media allows people to support each other on their health journey, says HealthMaker, Linda Fogg-Phillips. In this video she shares how physical location does not matter; a person can use social media to extend their support system.
Like humans, we're pack animals, we want to be involved in a group, and social media is important because it's add that connection where we're able to relate to each other and support each other on our health journeys, whether it's a high paying good job, you'll keep it up, or whether it's just knowing that you have an accountability to those that you love or those who care about you.
Social media is basically another way that you can do that and it helps to extend the family beyond the immediate border to the extended family border where it doesn't matter where you live but the extended family members can also support those that are trying improve their journey and to get help.
A mother of eight, Linda Fogg-Phillips a renowned expert on Facebook and families, and co-author of "The Facebook Guide for Educators." She discusses the challenges of parenting kids in a world saturated with social media.
