Hepatitis C is a virus that was discovered in the late 80s, formerly known as non-A and on non-B. And it is discovered by a group at the CDC and Kairon[sp?] which is a private corporation, and this virus led to significant disease for many, many years, for more than 40, 50 years.

And after it's identification, we were able to get markers they developed markers for it, that is we were able to quantify the amount of virus and also, this virus leads to significant liver disease and eventually in many individual's liver transplantation.
