Technology is designed to improve the healthcare process, but sometimes issues crop up that need to be handled. HealthMaker John Collins, PhD talks in this video about how to make technology as beneficial to the patient experience as possible.
One of the key things to make sure that the technology doesn't interfere is to put the technology in background as opposed to the fore ground. You'll see situations where clinician will be in a clinical setting taking a reading of a blood pressure cuff or whatever, writing it down on his or her scrubs, going over to a terminal and keying it in.
That's crazy in today's world.
