Electronic medical records are becoming even more valuable thanks to technology that allows the data to be used and analyzed more efficiently. HealthMaker John Collins, PhD talks in this video about the role of EMR.
EMR is huge part of the solution and not only with EMR, but one of the ironies is, EMR as you've heard often times, create distance between the coalitions and the patients, because I'm looking at the records. So one of the things that [xx] working on within this world is the interoperability, both of the data, but also the medical devices that need to be able to dump data into an EMR, and even more importantly, take the information that sits in EMR, process it in one way, and provide that information to a clinician at the point of decision making, so that they can be better informed about what their options are.
