Gamification gets people to learn about their health and act on it by making the experience fun and engaging. In this video, Jeremy Jauncey, cofounder of TicTrac, explains why it’s important to make health and lifestyle data fun.
I think it's the idea really that your health doesn't need to be dry, it doesn't need to be difficult to reach out, it doesn't need to be coming from a sort of traditional doctor-patient relationship work? You really have no knowledge of what's been treated by a doctor, everything that you hear is absolutely gospel.
It's the notion actually that can be, engaging it can be fun to look at infographics of your data and it doesn't have to be so boring, so the notion in gamification is finding ways to well gamify the experience so creating a fun experience for you to learn about your health data and then act on it.
Jeremy Jauncey is cofounder and business development director for Tictrac, a lifestyle design platform that lets users discover more about themselves from the data they're creating.
