What's the Difference Between Leadership and Management?

Leadership is really being able to use your abilities to bring people together in a way that will move things forward. It's different from management, I think sometimes people confuse leadership and management. Management is very important in terms of effectively supporting the people who work for you in order to be able to have them be the best they can be but leaders have that sense of vision.

A goal that they want to get to, and the ability to bring people along with them, to get people to embrace that very same goal, and take it forward and I think that, that ability to have a vision, to understand how to get others to embrace that vision, how to continuously adjust, to monitor, to move forward toward that vision.

Those are the elements of leadership that I've admired in some of the great leaders I've worked with.
