There are a few signs of schizophrenia, one of wihich is irrational thinking, says HealthMaker Herbert Pardes, MD, CEO of New York Presbyterian Healthcare System. In this video, he explains all the indicators in diagnosing schizophrenia.
We look for a logic in process thinking. The thinking is simply irrational. Second we look also for a mismatch between emotions and thoughts and words. So I tell you, if I start talking to you about my mothers death and start to get into a giggling fashion, something is wrong between those two.
We look for people who very often shrink from, in contact with other people, they're off to the side and that collection of symptoms, if you will, usually means schizophrenia.
