Read Transcript

The Institute of medicine serves as adviser to the nation to improve health, it's a part of our national academies that were originally commissioned by the congress to be available to give the government any advice and information that needed to make better decisions. Today the institute of medicine tackles the whole spectrum of health problems from prevention to treatment, from children to adults, from our veterans to other populations in need and we look at questions of health and health policy to try to improve the way we care for people and prevent disease.
