Are Americans Living Longer Than Ever?

The United States has continued to improve in life expectancy at birth for more than a century. Interestingly though, dozens of other countries, over the last two decades, have improved even faster than the United States. So while 20 or 30 years ago, the United States was above the average, compared to other OECD countries.

Today we're below average, and that is not a record to be proud of, and it is a record we can reverse.
