Traditionally, little information about the brain and its capabilities was confirmable. In this video, HealthMaker Gregory Bayer, PhD explains how recent research has changed the way scientists view the brain and its ability to heal and be trained.
Just thinking about some of the things that we've learnt about, one, the brain itself. Not too long ago we thought the brain was pretty stable and it wasn't able to be trained, so if you had an insult or an injury, you lost that function. Part of the brain control, now we're finding that frankly the brain is pretty plastic and they can recover through insult or injury and also that they can be mutated through training.
So you can actually use their plasticity to your advantage.
Psychologist Gregory Bayer, PhD, CEO of Brain Resource, Inc., talks about the importance of brain health for overall health and how to improve your brain fitness.
