Most people with Alzheimer's disease die of something else eventually, before they die of quote Alzheimer's, but that's partly because everything about having Alzheimer's contributes to debilitation. You're unable to take care of yourself properly, your organ systems begin to fail because the brain doesn't send all the proper information for them to function.

There are a number reasons, but eventually if you live long enough with Alzheimer's disease, you'll die of that, because fundamentally the brain will be eaten away to the point where it's no longer capable of fulfilling all of its important functions.
