If you look over the history of medicine, it's always a circular learning movement of improvement, and so with information systems, we can accelerate that learning by having more access to the knowledge and information, and then being able to apply that better care to the patient, and so it will be a far better world than we've seen today.

I really do believe that we're still in a very primitive stage of health care delivery, as humans on the planet, and I believe that computers will accelerate our ability to manage patient care better, and we will be able to customize that care specifically for the individual.
