New technology like predictive modeling will help caregivers discover important trends, says HealthMaker, Doug Rosendale, MD, founder of CAIRNformatics. In this video, he talks about how technology will improve health outcomes.
We will discover things we never discovered before, if you even look at the forensics columns work in discovering the gene. When I was at MIT, Tuesdays and Thursdays they were going through the assays analysis, where they would actually have enough data and analytics where they would fill in the gaps of the human genome where they didn't really have all the data, and so with the predicted modelling and the science behind filling in those gaps, you can actually discover trends and activities that you never saw before.
You can't do that on a one to one data analysis that has to be done over thousands or millions of patients so that you can identify trends and nodes of activity that you didn't or wouldn't otherwise discover.
