Things that people are particularly interested in are those that will potentially impact them the most, and those are the most prevalent diseases. So in the United States you think that the most common cause of serious vision lose in Americans in working age is diabetic retinopathy. The most common cause of serious vision loss in Americans in the medicare age group is age related muscular degeneration. The most common serious encounter that most Americans will have with a disease is cataract surgery or glaucoma those are the very common, so those are the things that we focus on initially because those the low hanging fruit if you will as far as the public's interest, and what they want to know is what can they do in their lives and then what can we as physicians do that they can't do themselves.
