The promise of regenerative medicine is of course all about making our patients better, and for the transplant field the benefits could be large. It's just a matter of time we believe until we are able to make those improvements. In reality it's not so much necessarily about even replacing the whole organ, if we can just boost the functionality of the organ.

We can get that patient off dialysis maybe of a machine that actually has to filter and replace their kidney function. So, when we think about regenerative medicine, of course, the goal is to someday replace the whole organ, but along the way hopefully we'll be able to provide therapies and treatments that will at least give patients a new chance in life.
