Meds are important if you have chronic osteoarthritis, but every med, including aspirin, has its side effects. So, more in the news lately you'll see professional basketball players who have been on all sorts of anti-inflammatories for years and years, and they're coming up having kidney transplants and all sorts of liver problems because they've never been monitored.

So, it's a balancing act, and the balancing act is if you aren't having a knee replacement and you have bad arthritis and you can't go food shopping you may have to take a med, but the flip side is you want to make sure you balance it. So, if you're taking them, you want to make sure that a medical doctor is monitoring the blood tests that would see if there's any other damage in any organs.
