There are certain types of exercises that can soothe knee pain. In this video, HealthMaker Andrew Feldman, MD, discusses the different types of exercises that work well for different conditions.
It depends on what you mean by exercise, we know obviously exercise in general is extremely important, knee pain again if you have an arthritic condition and your exercise choice is running 10 miles a day, probably not a good idea, because you're going to exacerbate that problem, but if you want to swim, the buoyancy of the water can actually sooth the knee and make it feel better.
Usually somebody has an arthritic condition that kind of a knee pain, not great to do high impact. Somebody who has attained the [xx] which is an overuse, stop doing what got you there. Cross train, do something else. If you are a runner and it hurts stop, be a biker for a little bit.
Whatever it might be, but the body has to collaborate once it gets irritated.
