Relax to Tame Inflammation

Hi, I'm Dr. Oz here with some stress relieving tips to help you live younger. Chronic stress intention trigger inflammation and contribute to cancer, gut problems, and more. We're learning that stress can actually alter your genes and interfere with Oxytocin, that's the stress busting blood hormone.

Here's what you can do to beat stress and tame inflammation. Meditate. Practice meditation for 10 minutes twice a day, in the morning and at night. Use deep breathing and mind fullness to lower your blood pressure and find your inner calm. Enjoy physical contact. A massage or snuggling with your partner are both ways to stimulate Oxytocin production, eat to relax.

Ditch the high saturated fat and processed foods that stress your body, instead, indulge an Omega-3 fats, nutrient veggies, fruits, whole grains, and plenty of water. Finally, get moving. Research shows that brain neurons generated through exercise can withstand the stress better than brain cells of couch-potato.
