How Important Are My Genes In the Aging Process?

Read Transcript

I'm older than both of them. But my question is how important are genes in the aging process? I know my dad died in his 99th year. What's your name, ma'am? Beverly. Beverly. The reality is genes when you're a little kid are really important. By the time you're age 50, your genes are probably one third of the issue.

Two thirds of being like Gail is doing the lifestyle activities that we know takes due to replace the life. The fact that your dad lived 99 years is a great thing because it means you have got one third advantage over anybody else but two thirds depends on how you are going to live is up to you.

Okay I am doing my best. Right. Thanks everybody. We'll be right back.
