So in psoriasis, we actually have upregulation
of the immune system, where your body is functioning too quickly in turning over the epithelial cells. And so usually the lifespan of a cell
at the base of the epidermis takes about 28 days to rise to the top, where it's sloughed off. But in psoriasis, that's much accelerated,
and it takes about 7 to 10 days for that to occur. So it's actually overactivity of the immune system.
